See your specialist: If modafinil is no longer effective you should see your doctor to reevaluate your therapy. You may need modification of your dosing or changes in therapeutic approach, depending on what aspects of your case are not being addressed.

Since there may be many reasons, especially medication tolerance, it is best to return to your sleep specialist and get re-evaluated. Sometimes, using a different drug class for a while will allow you to return to your Modafinil with success.
