I have a bruise on my forearm. i assume from my dog because it's in the shape of a paw print. but i don't recall when it happened. it is over 1 month?

You can wait longer: 1 month isn't a concerning time. It would be more concerning if the bruise is getting larger and larger. If not then I would continue to wait it out.
