Bruise: The skin on the back of the hand is very thin and accordingly the capillaries burst either spontaneously from aspirin or Aleve type use or easily burst from mild trauma. Usually there is no pain or tenderness unless trauma is the cause. Perhaps you sustained an injury that you weren't aware of. See a physician as needed especially if other unexplained bruises develop.
