My doctor gave me a pep medication for only 3 days which i read in forums was supposed to be a 28 days treatment. he said he did so because my risk is small. shall i just ask for the 28 days mediation instead?

I don't routinely: prescribe PEP prevention in my practice as patients needing this don't present to me, but my understanding is that if the decision is made to give it, it should be started within 72 hours of exposure and should be taken for 28 days. I am not at all familiar with a shorter course. I would encourage you to return and ask for the recommended 28 day course. Good wishes:)
