Refer to mental health professional for skill building in areas such as organization and concentration. Refer to psychiatrist for meds. Have coordination among all providers, especially on potential substance abuse.

Same as for kids: The main treatment options for adults with adhd are the same as for kids with adhd. As far as prescription meds, generally a stimulant (e.g. Adderall, vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) ritalin) or strattera are first-line treatment options.

Yes: The standard of care recommends using a stimulant medication on first pass through. That would be a methylphenidate or amphetamine derivative. If this is not effective then a look for comorbidities would be the next step.
