Tylenol: I would suggest extra strength tylenol. It will help with the pain, is not a CNS depressant, and will not affect the healing of your wounds.

Alcohol: While that might seem like a good idea, it may delay healing and is not really a healthy way to resolve the pain. OTC pain medication such as Advil, Aleve or Tylenol would be a better choice.
