Pain: Your real question is about abdominopelvic pain and burning. You were recently treated with Doxycycline, presumably for NGU, an STD. You need a pregnancy test to rule out ectopic pregnancy. PID is diagnosed by your OB when you have +STD serologies and cervical motion tenderness +risk factors/history. Other conditions can affect the ovaries such as ovarian cysts, torsion, or abscesses.
