Second opinion?: I'm sure several HealthTap doctors would like to help, but Dandy Walker syndrome is very rare and every case is different. Shunt surgery itself often is minor, with quick recovery. But ask your neurosurgeon for more details, or ask for referral to a second neurosurgeon or neurologist for a second opinion. Good luck.
