Altered taste: Are you being treated for your influenza? Oseltamivir (Tamiflu), the most commonly used antiviral treatment of flu, can cause altered taste as a side effect. Many other drugs can do so as well. Perhaps it's possible that flu itself does so, but not common. Anyway, it's unlikely to be permanent. Best to check with the doctor who diagnosed and is treating your influenza.
