Anosmia?: It is not unusual to lose the sense of smell/taste during a viral infection. Is it persisting because there are some background allergies. Is she having a lot of nasal congestion/fullness. I would then consider fluticasone nasal spray 2 squirts/nostril daily as a trial. Nasal polyps could cause this as well. It would be unusual about other causes.
