PSA is not absolute.: While PSA is not a perfect test for screening for prostate cancer, it is the only test we have to determine who should have a biopsy of the prostate. Prostate biopsy is the standard for diagnosing prostate cancer. There are always going to be people with low PSA with prostate cancer and people with high PSA's who did not have prostate cancer. Unfortunately, biopsy is the only way to sort this out
