The most likely: explanation for dark yellow colored, strongly smelling urine is dehydration. Pink-tinged urine suggests small amounts of blood may be present; dark brown urine suggests liver disease/dysfunction. Be very attentive to drinking more fluids, some every hour or two, mostly water. Dehydration: You urine is concentrated and it will be dark yellow in color and have an odor. If you take vitamins the urine will also be yellow. Drink more fluid and see if it gets clearer. If not then have your doctor check you out.
