From last 1 week i'm having dark yellow urine in the morning straight after waking up (no foul smell or burning sensation). during the course of the day, the urine goes back to normal (colourless). is this a problem with my kidneys?

No. earl morning urine is concentrated hence the color. You drink water (fluids) in the daytime which makes your urine 'normal' again. You're fine.
