What are the nature: and diagnosis of the fast heart beats? Is this atrial fibrillation? It is reasonable to be anxious about unexplained symptoms and although this anxiety may contribute to more cardiac irritability it would make more sense to diagnose and treat the problem than it would to just blow it off. Consider seeing an EP doctor for diagnosis and permanent treatment.
