CT: Your Physician doesn't want to expose you to "unnecessary" radiation. He/she wants to diagnose and treat your problem, which may be quite serious. The CT scan is "necessary" to arrive at the correct course of action. At some point you have to trust the people trying to help you.

Hard nickel sized lump under left ear. 2 months. Getting harder and harder. ENT got CT scan done. Said no abnormalities/no swollen lymph nodes. If I lift my head or open jaw wide it sometimes get "stuck" and squishes out from under jaw. Scary.
