Recently got back from vacation in peru, i got some bug bites on my ankles around 11/27/16. my ankles still occasionally itch and there are still marks, though they aren't raised. is this normal? is there a topical that may help? bug bites

Unusual: It is unusual to find residual lesions after 2 months have passed. However this may happen if the initial lesions were massive. Given that the type of insect is unknown one needs to know if any insect part or larva was left behind Try topical cortisone cream for a few days, but check with your doc if lesions persists or worsens
