A few days: Viral pharyngitis is just a sore throat caused by a cold (respiratory) virus. Respiratory viruses are contagious a day before you know you are sick, and then for about two days later (estimate). Exposing others would not likely cause them to have identical symptoms, but they could get a cold. You can always assume your are contagious if you still have a fever.
