Throat problem only: Pharyngitis by definition is usually a viral infection in the back of the throat., it can certainly be contagious. Also it may lead to laryngitis. But you can talk and sing with this symptom. If you should develop hoarseness, then you must rest both your talking and your singing. Pharyngitis is not a vocal problem.
