Bipolar & BPD : Optimal treatment of borderline personality disorder combines talk therapies with judicious use of medications. Insight-oriented psychotherapy is needed, and in many cases, additional approaches like dialectical behavioral therapy are also essential. Most psychiatrists collaborate with psychologists so that the patient can receive the full range of helpful therapies. Ask your doc about this.
