Hand pain: Osteopenia is not likely the cause of pain in your hands. Please see your primary care physician or perhaps a Rheumatologist for further evaluation of possible causes, including several types of arthritis. Don't jump to conclusions about the cause without evaluation.

Osteopenia: Pain in thumb with osteopenia. Likely due to arthritis. If you do have osteopenia this can helped by taking extra vitamin d3
