I cut my hand with a kitchen knife between thumb and index finger on tuesday. today i have a sore throat and difficulty swallowing. could this be tetanus or another type of infection?

Tetanus: You should check your tetanus booster shot record. Did you get one in the past 10 years. Hand injury , sore throat and difficulty swallowing are both common conditions and in most cases are not related. If you can open your mouth wide, you don't have tetanus.
