Frequent colds: It is normal for children to have frequent colds- 6-10 in a year. Attending school exposes him to viral illnesses. If he is around cigarette smokers he is likely to have more frequent colds. Another possibility is that he has allergic rhinitis in addition to viral infection especially if there are pets in the household. Follow up with your child's doctor if you have additional concerns.
