Probably viral: The worry about getting a sore throat caused by a bacterium called Group A beta hemolytic streptococcus (Strep pyogenes) is usually for kids between 3 yrs and 18 yrs . Yr 31. People of yr age don't get rheumatic heart disease! You can take an appropriate dose of ibuprofen for pain relief but you don't have to worry about getting rheumatic heart disease at yr age.
