My son has hereditary spherocytosis. recently he was dx with an ear infx. taking augmentin x 8d. he has a few petechiae behind infected ear. worry?

No worry: It is unlikely that the petechiae are related to the sperocytosis or the antibiotic and more likely related to the infection in the ear, rubbing the ear, etc. If he seems more ill, or develops petechiae throughout the body or other unusual bruises, be sure to have him checked with a platelet count as some children will get low platelets as an autoimmune disorder or more serious infection.
