A member asked:

Could a cyst on right ovary lead to a higher incidence of ovarian cancer or polycystic disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cysts vs. CA: Ovarian cysts are quite common if ovulating and rarely produce cancer. However, persistent cysts need evaluation via exam or ultrasound to be certain. Polycystic ovaries are also non-cancerous with obesity, anovulation and hair growth as symptoms.
