Yes: 2 months is enough time to observe any trends but not so long to be significant if it does get worse. The vast majority of cysts are normal and will require no intervention. Ovarian cancer is not very common, just difficult to detect early. When there is a family history, genetic testing (BRCA) should be considered if it has not been yet.
