Dry mouth: IUD ??: The short answer is no, the IUD does not cause a dry mouth. Even IUD's containing hormones have so little in them that the effects are limited to the local uterine environment, and are not systemic.

Not likely at all: There is no scientific report that your IUD can or has caused "dry mouth". There is very little biological plausibility for this side effect and even if there were, the benefits of using this very effective method of contraception would seem to outweigh this inconvenient side effect which may be easily managed perhaps rather simply by drinking more water.
