No: You should work to adapt a very regular sleeping pattern -- even over the weekends -- to maintain optimal health and awareness and productivity in all that you do. 9 hours of sleep is more than enough for the average 16 y.o. male. Unless you are engaged in very intense /long duration /multiple frequency physical workouts , then the napping is not necessary.(i.e. world class athletes). Good Luck.
