A member asked:

Yeast infection caused by antibiotics has not cleared up even after a month. only using antifungal cream and probiotics but still gastric discomfort?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Headdquarters: Of yeast infection is in the bowel where it ferments dietary sugar. You need a two month course of Nystatin that kills yeast in the bowel since it is not absorbed. It often grows through the bowel wall and you need a two month course of Fluconazole that is absorbed. Avoid sugar ----yeast feeds on it.
