Symptoms?: If you have symptoms of billiary colic - severe episodic pain - then you probably need to have the Gallbladder removed. If no symptoms would consider watchful waiting and monitoring by your MD.

Gallstones: If symptoms present, I strongly recommend to have the gallbladder removed, otherwise either watch for developing pertinent symptoms or you may ask to remove if that's your preference. Doctors take into consideration whether or not you are a candidate for such a surgery to start with or not (since there is no further history about you here). I hope this helps!

Symptoms?: Why did you have the US done? Are you having pain ? Just having gallstones is NOT. A reason to have surgery. But if you are having classic biliary colic ( pain ) then you may need surgery. You can try low fat diet, fiber, exercise , weight loss. But if attacks worsening only real treAtment is surgery
