Depends....: These are gallstones. About 20% of people have gallstones, but only 20% of people have problems (pain) with gallstones. If you have been having right upper abdominal pain and you have gallstones on the ultrasound it may be an indication to remove the gallbladder. You should see a General Surgeon to confirm.
