Maybe, maybe not: Saliva may contain HPV, if someone has an oral HPV infection. However, saliva alone probably transmits HPV rarely if ever; more direct contact is necessary, like sexual (open mouth) kissing or oral sex. Transmission of oral HPV to partners is rare, however. Almost all infections are transmitted by direct genital-genital contact.
