A member asked:

I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant. and i had a ultrasound done at my high risk dr appt today. the baby's growth rate is at the 22 percentile, weight is 4 lbs and 14 oz. if the % goes below 20%, will the baby still be healthy at delivery?

Depends on weight: This reference says perinatal mortality depends on very low and very high weights. Low weights at the 1 to 3 percentile is high, less as weight increases and above the 20th the risk normalizes. So the answer is related to how much below the 20th percentile Obstet Gynecol. 2014 Aug;124(2 Pt 1):274-83. doi: 10.1097/AOG.0000000000000
