Gastroenterologist: Blood in stool is abnormal and irrespective of further stool blood tests, some investigation is needed. There may be a simple explanation like anal fissure or hemorrhoids. However if these aren't found, testing for inflammatory bowel disease,diverticulosis or neoplasms of colon or rectum is needed. Hopefully irritable bowel syndrome with mucus colitis is the cause of your diarrhea. See Specialist
