Okay to wait: If the symptoms worsen such as bleeding increases, pain increases or massive diarrhea, then it would be okay to wait a few more days to see if symptoms improve on there own. Most intestinal illnesses are self limiting and transient. If the symptoms persist beyond 10 days then seeing your doctor is advisable.
