I've got braces for 2.5yrs. i'm getting headaches (flash/persistent), sometimes vertigo (few secs). i got mri (jaw): the braces caused black images.

+/-: The braces could cause black images on certain phases of the MRI. I doubt they are causing your other symptoms.
