Yes: The flu virus often causes fever, headaches, cough, headaches, fatigue and muscle aches for 5-10 days. It's common for someone to have normal temperature in the morning with fever in the late afternoon and evening. A cold usually causes less severe symptoms and low-grade or no fever.
