Have pfo or asd and trying to get pregnant. should i be tested for clotting abnormalities? which ones? before pregnancy or once i'm already pregnant?

No: The clotting issues would happen with or without the cardiac issues. Of more concern, the status of the cardiac anomalies and current cardiac function should be ascertained BEFORE getting pregnant.
