The most common: urine test, often done for legal purposes, detects ethyl glucuronide in the urine. The EtG test confirms alcohol ingestion as long as 3-4 days after intake, or about 80 hours after the liver metabolizes alcohol. There is nothing you can do to eliminate the alcohol from your system more quickly. It is possible that not much will be detected at 48 hours if you didn't drink very much 48 hours ago.
