A member asked:

Both knees start to red-din/blotch and get very warm with alcohol ingestion and long periods of standing . is this normal? no pain, full rom, no injur

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not sure: Alcohol causes dilation of the capillaries in our skin, and reddened or blotchy skin is not uncommon. Why it would particularly effect your knees, I have no clue, and do not recall having a patient with this particular complaint. Long periods of standing certainly can cause strain on the knees, sometimes with a little swelling, but one would expect a little pain with this. Suggest seeing your md.
