You need a lung exam: Going to see your provider to have your lungs examined and possibly get a chest x-ray is essential. There are multiple causes of your symptoms to include asthma, COPD, an upper respiratory viral infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, and a sinus infection. A good history and physical examination will be able to determine which is the most likely cause of your symptoms.
