Doctor can recheck: Can recheck throat, nose, and chest. Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, irritants, stomach acid reflux. A person usually sees his primary care doctor if the throat symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly (to check for strep, sinusitis...).
