Symptoms after EGD: Most patients have no symptoms after the effects of the anesthesia have worn off, which is usually less than one day. My advice is to call the physician who did the EGD and ask whether he/she believes your symptoms might be related to the findings on the exam. If not, you should see your physician.

Gastritis: With that amount of inflammation and your fatigue, I would be concerned about occult bleeding with resultant anemia and low iron levels.Perhaps you've already been checked for these. If so, other blood testing should check thyroid status. Inflamed stomach lining could account for diminished appetite. Medication like nexium and dietary measures are effective treatment for gastritis and peptic ulcer
