Of course not: No, this is not normal. How long have you been on the carafate and protonix (pantoprazole)? Alcohol use is listed as moderate, what was the indication for ativan? Was it to prescribed to lessen the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal? It would appear that an endoscopy (scope into stomach and part of small intestine) is indicated.
