When is chronic pain in feet joint neurologic and when it is vascular? how to know?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Numbness /pins needl: Vascular pain generally pale, cold, open sores, poor wound healing. After a certain number of steps foot goes numb then after a short rest numbness disappears (Claudication) Neuropathic pain generally pins & needles never eases up, worsens at night ,foot feels heavy and pain is gnawing. rest minimally improves pain. Pain could be a combination of both vasc & Neuro
