Sleep for life: Studies have shown that a healthy adult should get 7-9 hours sleep a night. Chronic sleep deprivation is associated with significant health issues such as early death, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. If the sleep deprivation is short-term due to work then this effect won't be as significant, but remember that concentration & productivity is improved on a full night's sleep!
