Most sacral dimples: are just that: a dimple and the bottom of the dimple is visible. If that is the case, there would be no relationship between the dimple and back pain unless there is redness and swelling. Sometimes dimples are actually the opening of a narrow sinus tract that can connect to deeper tissue which can result in a cyst, etc. Either way, if you have back pain, it is advised to get it checked out.
