A member asked:

Does colon wall thickening go away once it is there? i had giardia 3 years ago and was diagnosed with diverticulitis by ct scan. does div have any other telltale signs by ct scan? im only 30 years old and have had zero constipation problems previous.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Colon wall: If the thickening was the result of only one episode of diverticulitis, it may eventually recede. Repeated episodes of colon inflammation could cause permanent thickening or constrictive scarring. A gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeon can advise you best.
