Lymph nodes? : The area you are describing has many lymph nodes. They can be especially prominent if you have had a cold, ear infection, or any other inflammation in the head recently. Sometimes they can become scarred if you have had recurrent infections. If they change in size or feel or do not go away after a few weeks they should be evaluated by a Dr who can give you a good physical exam.
