Can a high igm (189 mg/dl) be due to recent flu vaccine?

Possible but: The initial response to an infection or vaccine would be a transient elevation in specific IgM but usually this would not affect the total IgM level significantly

Not high: A serum IgM level of 189 is within the normal range and not elevated, so there is no need to look for a cause for "high IgM". You may consult this site for info: http://www.mayomedicallaboratories.com/test-catalog/Clinical+and+Interpretive/8156
